How do I apply for the first time?

Applying for a Tala loan is fast and easy!

Download the Tala loan app from Google Play (Android OS 4 or higher required) and follow the steps below.

Submit your application

1. Sign up with the mobile number that’s linked to your Aadhaar.
2. Choose a 4-digit PIN. You will use this to access your account each time you log in.
3. Answer a few simple questions for the application (takes around 5 minutes) and submit.

Verify your identity

1. After receiving loan approval, you will be prompted to log in to Digilocker.
2. Verify your Aadhaar and take a selfie.

Once you’ve completed these steps, remember to keep your notifications enabled so that we can notify you once your loan is ready for disbursement.

• Apply and submit personal details only through the official Tala app in India.
• Don't download the app from unauthorized platforms or suspicious links.
