  1. Is Tala shutting down in India?

    We are currently working on important changes to create an even better Tala experience for our customers in India. During this time, we are pausing our lending operations until further notice.

    However, you are required to pay back your active Tala loan in full by the due date. All loans continue to be reported to the credit bureaus where late payments and non-payments can have a negative impact on your credit score.



  1. Why am I unable to take another Tala loan, even though I have paid all my previous Tala loans on time?

    While we are creating an even better customer experience, Tala has decided to temporarily suspend its lending activities in India. During this period, we will not be approving any new loans for our valued customers. We recognize these changes may cause you inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work towards implementing essential updates to improve your lending experience. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to once again support you on your financial journey

    We extend our gratitude for your loyalty to Tala. Our lending experience has been designed to offer you financial assistance along with pathways to impact your credit score and increase your access to more credit services.



  2. I want to make a payment towards my Tala loan and cannot find the app on PlayStore. How can I make a payment?

    Tala is pausing its lending operations in India until further notice, and during this period, the app will not be available on the Google Play Store. You can make a payment against your Tala loan in one of the following ways:

    i. Use the personalized payment link sent to you by SMS from Tala to complete your payment(s) to Apollo Finvest to aid in closing your loan. Please note that SMS-es are only sent from the following header IDs - TALMFI, TALATM, TALTEC, INTALA, TALAFIN, TALAIN, SAMAVE. Beware of fraudulent actors who might request money by pretending to be Tala.


    ii. Reach out to our customer support team by visiting this page - 
    https://tala.co.in/contact/. A dedicated team member from the team will reach out to you within 48 hours and assist you in making the repayment.

    iii. You can still download the Tala app from this <link>, log in, and complete your payment(s).


Please note that if you have an active Tala loan, you are required to pay it back in full by the due date as all loans are continued to be reported to the credit bureaus. Late payments and non-payments on your loans will have a negative impact on your credit score.



  1. I have paid all my loans on time or much before but my CIBIL score is affected. Can you please help resolve this?

  2. My CIBIL report has not been updated with the latest loan payment and I need a No Objection Certificate (NOC). How can I get an NOC from Tala?

  3. I have other grievances to raise with Tala and Apollo Finvest. Who can I contact?

  4. Will I need to start over with minimum loan limit when Tala returns to India?

  5.  Do I need to pay back my Tala loan?

    You are required to pay back your active Tala loan in full by the due date. All loans continue to be reported to the credit bureaus where late payments and non-payments can have a negative impact on your credit score.




  6. Will my data be safe with Tala during the time that the lending operations are paused in India?

    Please rest assured Tala pursues the most ethical data practices globally, and we follow industry best practices and compliance standards to make sure your data is highly protected and stored securely.
